We had the pleasure of honoring this year's Simi Sunrise Charitable Foundation's Scholarship recipients this morning. The committee, headed by Dr. Kathryn Scroggin, awarded 22 scholarships for a total of $15,500.

Updates from President Doug
Doug Feco thanked everyone who participated in the Senior lunch and the Street Fair. He shared a story about a woman he met at the Street Fair who offered to by him a pretzel. When he asked why she said after seeing his shirt she wanted him to know that our club had given her a scholarship and as a result she was able to pursue her career. She is now a nurse at the Adventist Hospital Simi Valley.

Street Fair Thank You!
Vince Dulcich thanked everyone that helped out at the Street Fair. They sold two more banners there and 253 tickets!

Jarrod DeGonia talked about all things alcohol - Beer, wine and margaritas!
John Bagnall talked about the parking areas and other transportation.
Bob Brill talked about getting more tickets!
Rob Hitchcock and Chas Wilson talked about volunteers and the need for people for Thursday night to help stripe the parking lot.
Nancy Hawthorne talked about the vendor gate.
Marshall Shrago talked about set up and take down. More information to come next week.
Deb Davila talked about the sponsors, their gate, their bands and more.
Karen Thompson said that we have sold 114 banners but we can sell more!
