President Deb has asked for members to send her information about anything going on in their lives. This morning she shared that Lee Dominick has a new grandson and Mary Paseta's daughter Danitza is engaged!
Rotary Foundation and a Year-End Donation
President Deb Davila talked about the Rotary Foundation and how it has a 4 star rating. She highlighted their projects and reminded us that when we donate to the Foundation it comes back to the club through the Annual Fund program. This past year we requested and received funds for YES! and our Holiday Bike evening. So if you are looking for a 2019 tax deduction, think about donating to the Rotary Foundation. District Governor and club member reminded us about the district's Rotary Foundation Gala planned for Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Sherwood Golf Club. The night will be more than just awards, there will be RI Past President Ravindran who has inspiring stories and experiences to share, great entertainment and wonderful food!
President Deb presented thank checks to our wonderful Grand VIsta staff this morning!
Meg Bemis reminded us that we are still collecting shoes. Please think outside the box. Post on your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter that you are looking for donations! Email Meg to drop off or pick up shoes throughout the month of December!
Offsite Meeting Mixer - January 30, 2020.
President Deb reminded us that since January has 5 weeks the last week will be an offsite mixer from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. More details to come.

Ally Gialketsis
Food Forward
We had the wonderful opportunity to hear from Ally Gialketsis from Food Forward, an organization that aims to fight hunger and food waster by rescuing fresh, surplus produce, connecting that abundance with people in need, and inspiring others to do the same.
She highlighted the four programs for collecting food: backyard harvest, farmers' market recovery, wholesale recovery and produce pick up. She talked about the three regions they are located and how volunteers are the key to their success and always needed.
