Past District Governor Sandi Schwartz awarded Past President Mike McCaffrey with the District 5240 Rotary Citation and Distinction Award for the 2018-2019 year. Only 35 out of the 72 Rotary Clubs received that this past year!
Maggie Kestly announced some of the results and updates from the Cajun Deep Dive Committee this morning.
The Cajun Deep Dive Committee will come before the club on December 12th with a more detailed presentation of the findings to date. More information will be coming via email.
YES! Updates
Dorina Timbol thanked everyone that was involved with the YES! weekend and how impactful the speakers were for the attendees. Louis Kruglov shared information about the day too and introduced some of the Interact students that came to our meeting this morning.

Haunted House Updates
Richard Perini said the building is completely cleaned out and he thanked everyone that participated in the event. He said there was lots of fun and laughter for all those that were involved. He said he will have final numbers in the next few weeks but that we did have $10,000 in sponsorships.

Thanksgiving Dinner Going Strong
Jerry Shaffner thanked everyone that has stepped up to help with this event. Volunteers are really needed the second half of the evening.
Flower Arrangements for Thanksgiving
Dr. P. announced that Stella Ortiz will host a flower centerpiece making night for the Thanksgiving Senior Dinner, on Tuesday, November 26 at Stella's house at 6:00 p.m. Dr. P. will pick up the containers and flowers and you can make one of you and one the dinner and pay only $10. Wine and fun guaranteed at Stella's house!

Happy Face Maintenance This Saturday
Bill Klepper reminder everyone about the Happy Face Hill clean up planned for this Saturday, November 23 meet at Jerry's Coffee Shop at 7 am and bring weed wackers and steel rakes!

Target Holiday Shopping Spree - Planned for Saturday, December 7
Karen Thompson announced that we will be having our shopping spree for children in need at the Target on Madera on Saturday, December 7 at 8 am. Sign ups are on the tables now.
Simi Sunrise Charitable Foundation.card are now being sold! The new cards are being sold for 10 for $100 or $10/piece. Remember, they can be used for all occasions -- birthdays, condolences, get well and more!

Dr. Kat Rosenblum
Human Trafficking
Today's speaker, Dr. Kat Rosenblum, made an impactful and heartfelt presentation about human trafficking.
She personally is a survivor of human trafficking and shared details about how adolescents are kidnapped, coerced, recruited, exploited and ultimately become prostitutes.
Girls and boys are being bought and sold and few have anyone to help them. They tend to be lonely and vulnerable and looking to belong, be loved and supported.
She presented some ways to identify children in those situations, but sometimes they are stolen from people they know because their bodies are a commodity.
