Cessar Zambrano
Cesar spoke about his involvement in delivering dialysis filters to hospitals in Venezuela in 2020.  He talked about having to cross the Colombian/Venezuela border, a lawless border controlled by organized crime.  He spoke about having to coordinate the delivery of the units through a path that included Colombia, Panama and Germany.  Quite a harrowing experience but extremely rewarding.  Thank You Cesar for what you do.

Today has been a tragic day for our Rotarians, families and friends on the Island of Maui. The fires across the island have changed lives forever. Truly devastating. Our sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.
 
As people of action, we can take immediate action. As we come together to recover and rebuild, we need to support each other. We need to Create Hope for Maui.
 
Through our Rotary District 5000 Foundation, a relief fund has been established. Foundation President Dave Hamil and Treasurer Sharon Amano will handle all donations. The Rotary District 5000 Foundation is a 501c3 organization and all donations are considered charitable.
 
A committee will be organized shortly to find the greatest needs for distribution of monies. Monies will be used to make the largest impact based on needs and will be sustainable. A single fund will be the most helpful over time to provide the greatest significant benefits.

Steve P, being the proud Grandparent that he is, had the pleasure of sharing some pretty cool news with us this morning.  His granddaughter, Reese, is a freshman at Simi Valley High School.  She scored the first touchdown in Simi Valley High's history this past week in the inaugural year of the school's girl flag football.  Congratulations to the Pietrolungo family!

How do new members add ClubRunner?  

When the secretary adds a new member to our roster, you will receive an automatic email that gives you your login ID and a temporary password so that you can access the web site (ClubRunner).  This gives you the opportunity to upload a photo and enter a permanent password.  You can go to the public portion of our website (no login required) and see the calendar, list of officers, birthdays, past bulletins, etc.  The link to the public portion of our website is:

There is a phone app that can be downloaded to your phone; everyone should have that app on their phones.  You will have to download the app and then log in the first time.  After that, the login portion is not required.
