Doug Feco talked about many things this morning including the 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King's passing; the work his daughter is doing in his name for peace; and the Rotary Magazine article on tolerance and other important issues.

Erik Sellfors received the award this morning for the project he worked on.
Rotary Moment
Jim Visage shared his Rotary Moment, which were two special ones: the first being when he was part of a group that helped a woman move; and his Cajun coffee moment in 2008 when he was the Chair
Paul Harris $30/Quarter Program
Craig Foster talked about our club's $30/quarter program for Paul Harris Fellows. Every quarter a name is drawn from those that participate in this program to receive a Paul Harris Fellow. This morning Cindy Jacoby's name was chosen.
Doug Feco said that we will be having a Group 5 joint meeting on Wednesday, April 25th at Wood Ranch Country Club at 6:00 p.m. This will be in place of our regular Thursday morning meeting that week.

Larry Borovay said there will be a all hands on Cajun meeting Thursday, April 26 at Monte Vista -- more information to come soon!

Fire Alarms at Friendly Village
Leigh Seaton reminded everyone that we will be installing Fire Alarms Friendly Village Mobile Home Park on Saturday, April 21 - 9 am - Noon. Sign up sheets are on the tables now and the flyer is below with more information.
Volunteers Needed for Round Up
Jim Tokatlian said that the Kiwanis Club is looking for volunteers for their upcoming Round Up.
Thomas Herdering from the 99.1 - The Ranch Radio talked about the three ways to participate to help offset the cost of advertising our Cajun & Blues Festival on their station. Forms were on the tables this morning.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Chris Martin and Tim Wedemeyer about the SVPD's K-9 program. He shared information about their training and what kinds of searches they are involved with. They also demonstrated Ace's ability to smell pot on in a paint can!
